Sunflag Iron & Steel is to expand its steel plant in Ekalari & Warthi villages in Mohadi Taluk in Bhandra Taluk in Maharashtra. The project involves setting up a new DRI plant (720,000 tpa), pig iron unit(750,000 tpa), ingots/billets unit (500,000 tpa), rolled mill (500,000 tpa), sinter unit (12,30,000 tpa), a captive power unit of 60 MW. Iron ore is to be sourced from NMDC' Bailadila mines and coal linkage is obtained from SECL and from its own coal mines.
