SSC Steels Pvt Ltd is planning to set up a mini steel plant in Hanumanhalli village in Sandur Taluk in Bellary district of Karnataka with an investment of Rs. 4334 million. The project involves setting up of a rolling mill of 60,000 tpa, beneficiation plant of 400 tph, sponge iron plant of 400 tpd, captive power plant of 12 MW (8 MW WHRB, 4 MW FBC) and a thermal power plant using coal of 70 MW. Coal will be sourced from Singareni Collieries and imported coal from South Africa. Limestone will be sourced from Dhone, Piduguralla.
