Nikita Metals plans expansion of ferro alloy plant at Kalyaneswari in Burdwan district of West Bengal. Land required for the project is around 11 acres which is available at its existing premises. The project involves expanding ferro alloy plant from 140 tpd to 240 tpd. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 890 million. The main raw materials required for Ferro alloy unit will be Quartz/ Manganese (72,000 TPA), Charcoal (54,000 TPA), Mill scale (14,400 TPA), Electrode paste (2,700 TPA), Casting sheet (252 TPA), MS Rod (1,800 TPA), Oxygen (5,40,000 m3) etc.
