Kusum Power Met to expand its spong iron plant at Chipinda


Kusum  Power Met to expand its spong iron plant at Chipinda in Keonjhar district in Orissa with an investment of Rs. 800 million. DRI units (2x100 TPD & 2x50 TPD) are operating since 2004 and have proposed WHRB (6 MW) and AFBC (6 MW) to make use of waste heat gas and char generated by existing DRI units in the existing premises.  The generated power will be used in proposed Induction Furnace (3x10 T) for manufacturing Billets (1,00,000 TPA).
