Sivananda Ferro Alloys to set up a steel plant at Gundicha Pada

Sivananda Ferro Alloys to set up a steel plant at Gundicha Pada in Dhenkanal district of Orissa with an investment of Rs. 72.03 million. The project involves setting up of 5 MVA submerged arc funace and manufacturing facilities to produce Ferro Manganese 11,200 MTPA & Silico Manganese 8,464 MTPA. Land required for the project is around 5.3 acres.

Sri Ganesh Sponge Iron plans expansion of sponge iron plant at Kutugaon

Sri Ganesh Sponge Iron plans expansion of sponge iron plant at Kutugaon in Chipinda in Keonjhar district of Orissa with an investment of Rs. 549 million. Land required for the project is around 40 acres. The project involves setting up of billets/ingots unit of capacity 200 tpd (sponge iron) and rolled products unit of capacity 167 the project. The unit will consume manganese ore, quartz, charcoal, iron ore, ferro silicon etc.,

A K Das Associates plans to set up a ferro chrome plant at Kamakhyanagar

A K Das Associates plans to set up a ferro chrome plant at Kanhupur village in Kamakhyanagar in Dhenkanal district of Orissa with an investment of Rs. 173.4 million. The project involves setting up of Ferro Chrome Unit (1x5.5 MVA, 7,500 TPA) to manufacture high carbon ferro chrome by electric submerged arc furnace process. The unit will consume Chromite (18,750 TPA), Quartzite (24,37.5 TPA), Coke (4,425 TPA), Molasses (572 TPA) and Lime (381.3 TPA) as raw materials.

Kalinga Sponge Iron plans to expand its steel plant at Kalunga

Kalinga Sponge Iron plans to expand its steel plant at Kalunga Industrial Estate in Rourkela in Sundergarh district of Orissa. The project involves expanding DRI plant (2 x100 tpd to 3x100 tpd), setting up of a mini blast furnace (16500 tpa), an induction furnace (129600 tpa), a rolling mill (90000tpa) and a captive power generation unit of 30 MW (WHRB (1x20 TPH), AFBC (1 x 48 TPH), Turbo-Generator of 15 MW). Sponge Iron will be produced in a Rotary kiln by reducing Iron ore at about 900-1050oC using Coal as reductant.
