Vaishnavi Ferro Tech plans expansion at Garam Rauta in Ramgarh district

Project Location : Marar, Ramgarh district, Jharkhand

Vaishnavi Ferro Tech is planning to set up an Induction Furnace (9 TPH, MS Ingots-22,500 TPA) at Gram Rauta in Marar in Ramgarh district of Jharkhand. Sponge iron (18,900 TPA), MS scrap (4050 TPA), cast Iron (4050 TPA) and ferro alloys (225 TPA) will be used as raw materials. Total land requirement is 2.85 acres. The project is estimated to cost Rs.90.293 million.

Shreewali Ferro plans new unit at Balidih in Bokaro

Project Location : Balidih, Bokaro, Jharkhand

Shreewaali Ferro is planning to set up Ferro Alloy Plant (12,000 TPA; 3&5 MVA submerged Electric Arc Furnace) at Balidih in Bokaro Industrial Area in Bokaro district of Jharkhand. The project will have facilities like Submerged Arc Furnace 7,200 TPA and Ferro Manganese 4,800 TPA. The project is estimated to cost Rs.113.145 million. As of December 2009, the project has obtained statutory clearances

SAIL, POSCO mulls steel mills in Maharashtra /Jharkhand

SAIL and POSCO are forming a joint-venture to set up a Rs. 1100 billion steel plant in Jharkhand. The plant is likely to come up in the land owned by SAIL at Bokaro steel plant. They are also in talks to set up a CRNO (cold rolled non grain oriented) steel plant in Maharashtra. The plant will have a capacity of 300,000 tpa and likely to entail an investment of Rs. 6000 – 10000 million. The demand for CRNO steel is growing up and is expected to double by 2016-17

Castron Technologies Ltd plans expansion of steel unit in Bokaro

Castron Technologies Ltd is planning to invest Rs. 600 million to expand its steel plant in Bokaro in Jharkhand. The project involves setting up of a spong iron unit (72000 tpa), an induction furnace (36000 tpa ingots), a captive power generation unit of 5 MW (3 MW WHRB & 2 MW AFBC). Iron ore (1,22,400 TPA) , limestone and coal will be used as raw material for sponge iron plant while pig iron and scrap will be used in induction furnace. Land required is 5 acres which is available.
