Indus Steel & Power Ltd to set up integrated steel plant at Borjara and Sarora in Dharsinwa Block in Raipur district in Chhattisgarh with an investment of Rs. 2010 million. The project involves setting up of Iron Ore Beneficiation and Pelletization plant, Steel Ingot, re-rolled steel and a captive power generation unit of capacity 12 MW. The plant will consume Iron ore fines (6.5 Lakh TPA) generated by other sponge iron plants, mild steel acrap, pig iron, C.I. Scrap, Ferro alloys and Aluminium shots as raw
Indus Steel & Power is planning to set up an the Integrated Steel Plant and Captive Power Plant at Village Borjara & Sarora in Raipu district of Chhattisgarh. The proposed plant will have 500,000 tpa Iron Ore Beneficiation and Pelletization plant, 300,000 tpa steel ingot facilily, 300,000 tpa steel re-rolling mill and a 12 MW captive power plant. The CPP will be based on Agro waste, Vegetable market waste, Animal waste, Municipal solid waste and other biodegradable waste based Bio-methanation Plant. Iron ore chips, fines and mill scales generated by other sponge iron plants having 50-60% Fe content will be used in Iron Ore Beneficiation and Pelletization Plant. Sponge Iron, Pig Iron, Limestone, Ferro Alloys, Aluminium cube, Refractory material, MS scrap, CI scrap, Oxygen, Coke will be used in Steel Plant. Pellets will be melted to produce steel billets and rolled to steel structures and wire rod in the re-rolling mill. Municipal solid waste, cattle manure, poultry litter, digestible agro waste will be used in Power Plant (12 MW). The waste will be put up bio-methanation system and generated biogas will be fed into the Gas Turbine to produce power. The power so generated will be used for the production of steel in Induction Furnace. The project is estimated to cost Rs.2010 million.
